Assistant Coach
Marcus Carrington arrived to Boston University in March of 2025. The 2025 campaign marked his first in Terrier Town. In his first year, Carrington was part of the Patriot League Coaching Staff of the Year as BU captured the 2025 Patriot League regular season championship with a 7-1-1 conference record, the program's most league victories since 2018. Carrington worked with the goalkeepers who helped the BU defense register a 659:27 scoreless streak that spanned nine matches and a 646:29 home scoreless streak that stretched from Aug. 17 to Nov. 9. Carrington oversaw the development of Bridget Carr into an All-Patriot League Second Team selection who led the Patriot League during conference play in goals-against average (0.27), save percentage (.926) and shutouts (six). He also guided Susan Shobeiri, who made her collegiate debut in 2025 and played in 10 matches. “I’m so excited to welcome Marcus to the BU women’s soccer family,” said head coach Megan Burke at the time of his hiring. “His passion for the game, experience and genuine care for player development will have an immediate impact on the program both on and off the field.” In addition to his traditional coaching and recruiting duties, Carrington will work closely with the goalkeepers at BU. The Terriers have seen a goalkeeper capture All-Patriot League honors in two consecutive seasons with Celia Bruan (2023) and Bridget Carr (2024).
