Four-time All-Patriot League honoree Katie Nelson (Questrom'21) returned to Boston University as an assistant coach in May of 2025. The 2025-26 season marked her first on the coaching staff. In her first year, Nelson helped six Terriers set personal bests in scoring average as BU won a Patriot League Tournament contest for the seventh consecutive year. “I am thrilled to welcome Katie back to BU,” said head coach Melissa Graves at the time of her hiring. “As a former Terrier, she brings a special type of enthusiasm and love for our program. She is a proven winner who brings energy, passion and an incredible basketball mind. Katie created a lasting legacy during her time here as a student-athlete and undoubtedly understands exactly what it takes to help our players succeed – both on and off the court.
