Blackburn College Softball

Heather Heater enters her third year with the softball program and second season with the volleyball team for the 2024-25 seasons. Heater came to Blackburn for the 2024 softball season and helped guide the team to their first SLIAC Tournament since 2012 and best record since the 2013 season. Three players were named SLIAC All-Conference as well. Prior to her time at BC, Heater served as the Head Middle School Volleyball and Softball Coach for three seasons while also serving as an assistant coach for the high school teams. She began her coaching career at Carrolton High School where she served as Head Volleyball and Track & Field Coach for nine years. Heater attended Hannibal La Grange University and Illinois College where she played both volleyball and softball.
