Jeff Huffman enters his eighth season at Amherst in 2025 as men's goalkeeper coach and seventh in the same role for the women's team. In 21 seasons of collegiate soccer, Huffman has seen 13 different goalkeepers receive individual postseason accolades. He has been part of staffs that participated in eight national semifinals, won nine NESCAC titles, and been awarded the National Men's Staff of the Year in 2024, Regional Men's Staff of the Year in 2019, and Regional Women's Staff of the Year in 2022 and 2023. Four goalkeepers he coached at the collegiate level have gone on to professional careers. Huffman's time at Amherst has been among the most storied periods of success in both programs' history. The men have reached the national title game four times, collecting two NESCAC titles and a national championship. The women collected 65 victories from 2021-2024, winning three consecutive NESCAC titles and making four NCAA Tournament appearances. Previously, Huffman was part of the Williams College staff for parts of 10 seasons, where he guided three teams to national semifinals and saw seven players move to professional ranks. He developed notable goalkeepers including Nick Armington, one of only four Division III goalkeepers to make an MLS regular season roster, and Than Finan, an All-American. Huffman also served as head coach at NJCAA Division I Garden City Community College (2004-2009), posting a .625 winning percentage as men's coach with six players advancing to NCAA Div
