Biography

Taylor was named the head men's and women's track & field coach following a national search that began in November of 2017. She took over the historic program that was founded in 1900 and touts two of Alfred University's three NCAA National Champions. In the Fall of 2022, Taylor shifted into the role of Chief Diversity Officer/Title IX Coordinator at Alfred University, moving her into a volunteer assistant coaching position. Taylor came to AU after spending four years in Abuja, Nigeria where she served as a member of the Ministerial Committee for the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, serving as a Project Manager for Team Nigeria in the 2016 Rio Olympics and Paralympics. She was also a part of the 2015 All-Africa Games where Team Nigeria finished second overall with 47 gold medals. Prior to Nigeria, Taylor was Head Coach of the George Mason women's track & field team, where she coached multiple student-athletes to NCAA Division I Championships and Olympic Trials, most notably world-class sprinter Murielle Ahoure. From 1995 to 1999, Taylor served as a women's track & field assistant coach at Princeton University. Since 1992, Taylor has been a USA National Coach including roles with Olympic Team, IAAF World Championships, and Pan American Games. She graduated from Illinois State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications, earned a Masters of Public Administration from George Mason University, and her Ph.D. in Leadership in Higher Educatio
