Taylor Howick, MS, LAT, ATC

Biography

Taylor Howick returned to Washington State in the Fall of 2021 to serve as WSU’s Assistant Athletic Trainer, working with the WSU women’s basketball team. The WSU alum brings a heap of athletic training experience at the NCAA level to the Palouse, as she has worked with four different women’s basketball programs. Howick is a licensed athletic trainer and is certified in NATABOC, CPR/First Aid, Kinesio Tape 1, 2, and 3, Dry Needling, and Mental Health First Aid. Prior to returning to her alma mater, Howick was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas from 2019-2021. During her time at Lamar, she was also an Adjunct Professor for Lamar’s Kinesiology Department and was both a LAT Program Director and Clinical Coordinator. Howick spent the 2018-19 season at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, where she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer and served as Interim Head Athletic Trainer. During her time with the Urban Knights, she worked with the men’s and women’s basketball teams and the cross country and track and field programs. Howick graduated from WSU in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Minor in Psychology. She received her Master’s Degree in Health Science from Portland State University in 2018. While at PSU, she was an Athletic Training Graduate Assistant and worked with the women’s basketball team, and assisted with football.
