Biography

T'Chad McAlman is in his fourth year as Director of Video Operations for the University of South Alabama men's basketball program. Since joining the staff in 2022, he has played a key role in the Jaguars' success, contributing to a 21–11 record and Sun Belt Regular Season Championship in 2024-25, as well as a 19–16 campaign that included a run to the SBC Tournament Championship Game in 2022-23. In his role, McAlman oversees all video operations, including software management, opponent scouting, game planning, and player evaluation. He also assists in recruiting by coordinating official and unofficial visits, supports player development, and mentors student managers to prepare them for the demands of their current roles and future careers. A Mobile, Alabama native, McAlman earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from South Alabama in 2022 after completing his associate degree in Health and Physical Education at Coastal Alabama Community College in 2019. A former student-athlete and cancer survivor, he brings both resilience and a unique perspective to the program.
