Colin Runt

Biography

Colin Runt joined Northwestern Athletics as an Academic Advisor in September 2021. He works closely with student-athletes from baseball, football, softball, women's cross country, men's and women's golf, women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving and volleyball. Prior to Northwestern, Runt spent eight years at Portland State University, most recently as Assistant Athletics Director for Academic Services. His responsibilities included working with the students and staff of the football, women's basketball and volleyball programs, overseeing academic support for the department, helping coordinate athletics financial aid, and assisting with the NCAA certification process. Prior to this role, Runt held positions of Director of Academic Support Services (2017-19), Academic Advisor (2014-17), and Graduate Assistant for Compliance (2012-13). A four-year letterwinner in baseball at Penn State University, Runt earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2006 and a master's of Education from Portland State in 2013. A native of State College, Pa., Runt and his wife, Erin live in Evanston with their twin daughters Edie and Louisa.
