Biography

Luke Walerius joined Northwestern in January 2024 and serves as the General Manager of Roster Development & Retention. Walerius came to Evanston after serving as the Director of Recruiting at the University of Memphis in 2023. Prior to that, he was on the North Texas staff, where he served as Director of Recruiting beginning in 2018 before being promoted to Football Chief of Staff ahead of the 2019 season. Before his time at North Texas, Walerius spent five seasons in the recruiting office under head coach Mark Stoops at Kentucky. During his time in Lexington, he worked in all aspects of recruiting, including talent evaluation. Walerius began as a student recruiting assistant for three seasons (2013–15) before serving as a graduate assistant for two seasons (2016–17). A native of Alexandria, Kentucky, Walerius earned his bachelor's degree in community, leadership and development from the University of Kentucky.
