Biography

Kyle Blackman is in his seventh season as Indiana's head football athletic trainer. He spent six seasons with the Washington Redskins, five as an assistant and one as an intern athletic trainer. Blackman served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Troy University from 2008-10 and worked as the head athletic trainer for the Arena Football League's Colorado Crush in 2008, where at 23 years old, he was the youngest head trainer in the AFL. He earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Franklin College in 2007 and received his master of science in sport and fitness management from Troy in 2010. Blackman is a certified athletic trainer and a member of the National Athletic Training Association. A Crown Point, Indiana native, Kyle and his wife, Amanda, have two sons, Luke and Jordan.
