The David Dunlop '59 Head Coach of Wrestling
Grey joined the Cornell staff in 2011 as a volunteer assistant and two years later was elevated to assistant coach, helping lift Cornell to unprecedented heights. Grey was named associate head coach in 2019 and became the David Dunlop '59 Head Coach of Wrestling in 2021. Since joining the Big Red staff, Grey has helped the program to 12 Ivy League and nine EIWA titles, as well as top 10 NCAA team finishes each year. Cornell has posted a 158-38 dual meet record and a 69-1 mark in Ivy competition with Grey on the sidelines. Big Red athletes have won 13 NCAA titles, 44 All-America honors, 43 EIWA titles and 66 first-team All-Ivy honors in that span. In four seasons in charge of the program, Grey has won four Ivy League and three EIWA Championships and coached four national champions, 13 All-Americans and 12 EIWA champions. The Big Red has finished in the top 10 at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in all four seasons under Grey, including third place in 2023 and second place in 2024. As a student-athlete, Grey helped the team to second-place finishes at the 2010 and 2011 NCAA championships. He finished with a 117-30 record and was a four-time NCAA qualifier, two-time EIWA champion, and two-time All-American. Grey was a four-time state champion in New Jersey with a 158-2 high school record.

Associate Head Coach
Two-time NCAA champion Kellen Russell joined the Cornell staff as an assistant coach in July 2021 after spending the previous seven seasons on staff at his alma mater, Michigan. He was promoted to associate head coach in April 2024. In four seasons, Russell has helped the Big Red to four straight Ivy League and three EIWA team titles, has assisted in the development of four national champions, 13 All-Americans and 12 EIWA champs. Cornell has finished in the top 10 at the NCAA Championships four times, including second in 2024 and third in 2023. Russell spent seven seasons on staff at Michigan (2014-21) as an assistant coach on some powerful Big Ten teams. In his time on the sidelines, the Wolverines boasted 27 All-Americans and earned top 10 team finishes in five consecutive NCAA Championships, including a fourth-place finish in 2018 and fifth-place showings in 2019 and 2021. Russell was a two-time NCAA 141-pound champion (2011, 2012). He became the sixth multiple-time champion in Michigan history with a 6-4 sudden-victory decision over Iowa's Montell Marion at the 2012 NCAA tournament. Assistant Coach
Boykin joined the Big Red staff in April 2024 after spending two seasons at the United States Air Force Academy. In the 2025 season, Boykin assisted the Big Red in their first Ivy League Tournament Title with five Ivy champions and 10 NCAA qualifiers for the second consecutive season earning Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Boykin spent time in Ithaca from 2019-22 as the head coach of the Spartan Regional Training Center, where he coached several current and former Cornell wrestlers, including four-time NCAA qualifier Julian Ramirez, 2023 and 2025 All-American Chris Foca, two-time All-American Jacob Cardenas and two-time NCAA qualifier Lewis Fernandes. At Air Force, Boykin had a crucial role in the development of Wyatt Hendrickson, one of the best heavyweight wrestlers in the nation. Hendrickson earned All-American status twice and won two Big 12 Tournament titles with Boykin as his coach. Boykin began his coaching career in 2018 as a volunteer assistant at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, where he wrestled from 2013-18. He qualified for the NCAA Championships three times and won two Southern Conference titles.
